  • What is it?

One N Only Colorfix removes unwanted permanent hair color regardless of how long it has been in the hair. Controlled usage allows color correction to specific areas. One N Only Colorfix is designed for full or slight color corrections. From 6 to 16 applications depending on whether use is for partial or full color correction. Effective on all hair types - leaves hair in optimum condition. Does not contain ammonia, bleach or formaldehyde.

One N Only Colorfix is developed to remove oxidative dyes. Since most semipermanent colors are combination of direct dyes and oxidative dyes, Colorfix may only partially remove these.

    What makes it special?
    • Removes Unwanted Permanent Hair Color
    • Easy to mix and apply
    • Contains Argan Oil
    • Cruelty Free
  • FOR FULL COLOR CORRECTION:

Apply to dry hair. Mix equal parts of Colorfix Part 1 Color Reducer and Part 2 Conditioning Catalyst in tint bowl or an applicator bottle. (Mix as much as will be needed for the density and length of hair that requires correction.) Wearing gloves and using a tint brush, apply quickly and evenly to the hair. If mixed in an applicator bottle, shake vigorously until thoroughly mixed (45 seconds to 1 minute).

Gently work through the hair to ensure even penetration. After mixing Part 1 Color Reducer and Part 2 Conditioning Catalyst, use as quickly as possible, since the activity of the mixture decrease with time. Cover loosely with a plastic cap, and process up to 20 minutes. Strand test frequently. Low, warm dryer heat may be used to speed processing time. Rinse hair for 3-5 minutes and shampoo.

If sufficient color is not removed, repeat Step 2 and 3 (this may be done on damp, towel-dried hair). Depending on condition of scalp and hair, do not repeat process more than 2-3 times. When desired level of color removal has been achieved, apply Processing Lotion for 5 minutes. (Due to the nature of dye molecules, it is possible that hair may redarken to an unacceptable level.

If it does, repeat Steps 2-4 on damp hair, until sufficient color is removed.) Rinse well. Dry hair with a warm heat setting. (A hot setting may cause scalp irritation.) You may now proceed with your color application, if performing a full color corrective service.

FOR SLIGHT COLOR CORRECTION (lighten color that has gone too dark or ashen):

Mix 1/4 oz Part 1 Color Reducer + 1/4 oz Part 2 Conditioning Catalyst + 1 oz shampoo. Wearing gloves, apply to damp, towel-dried hair. Apply only to the areas of the hair that require lightening, and work into lather. To determine timing, take a strand test frequently. When the desired shade has been reached, rinse thoroughly and shampoo.

  • Always strand test color formulas to be used prior to application. Remember, porous hair will absorb colors more quickly and the resulting hair color may be slightly darker. You may need to formulate 1-2 levels lighter than desired result. Always use a low pH conditioner after an application of Colorfix. This will help protect the hair, and return it to a more normal state.

One N Only Colorfix is developed to remove oxidative dyes. Since most semipermanent colors are combination of direct dyes and oxidative dyes, Colorfix may only partially remove these.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Absolutely useless, waste of money I used for my dark brown hair. It removed the color (turn to orange) first, then te exact same dark color came back as soon as I came out of shower!!! Total waste of money What I end up doing to change my hair to what I wanted was that I mixed a little bit of bleaching powder to the color mixture I wanted to dye my hair with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, and yes I used step 3 First off this is to remove oxidative (permanent) hair dye only, and probably won't work to remove any other types. Tips: 1. Plan on doing the whole process at least twice if you regularly dye your hair. 2. One box did both processes on my almost boob length hair, if you have much longer hair I would recomend getting two boxes. 3. Start at the ends, that's where the most dye is built up. 4. Use step 3. What it does is shows you what dye is still left in your hair. For the people complaining that it darkened your hair, that means you didn't remove all the dye the first time and, according to instructions, should have done the process a second time and maybe third. Those who didn't use it and complain their hair darkened over the next few days had the same issue. Point being this is not a one step process and following instructions carefully should get you results. 5. After using step 3, if the lightened color remains, make sure to use a restorative hair mask (I used a keratin one) and rinse it out with cold water. 6. Lest your hair at least over night before dying it other wise the color can come out darker. 7. Your hair will be orange so make sure you use cool tones and a cooling additive depending on the desired end result. Remember, removing hair dye without bleach is going to be a longer process. Be patient and it should work out. I hope this helps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PLEASE READ!!!!! i think ive cracked the code on how to get this product to work effectively. it worked really well on my permanent red/brown dyed hair. i used this product twice over two days to make sure my hair wouldnt darken again, skipping step 3 both times. i washed my hair ROOT TO TIP with a clarifying shampoo at least three times after each application, and continued to wash my hair with the same shampoo every day for the next week. REGARDING THE SMELL: i removed my color back in the beginning of May. it is now July, and up until today, the smell was still in my hair. the less you wash your hair, and the more dry/porous your hair is, the more likely it is that the smell will stay in your hair longer. i only wash my hair about once and week, and my hair is naturally very dry because of the texture, so thats why the smell was in my hair for so long. the chemical causing the rotten egg smell gets trapped in the hair fibre, and releases anytime the hair gets wet. being that im due for a haircut in a couple of days, i scoured the internet desperate to find a way to get the smell out so that the poor hair sylists at the salon dont have to deal with the rotten egg stench. TO HELP REMOVE THE SMELL, FOLLOW THESE STEPS: mix about 10% baking soda with 90% water in a small bottle, and soak your hair with the mixture. wrap your hair up with a towel and leave it in for around 10 minutes. WITHOUT RINSING, mix about 5-10% white vinegar with 90-95% water, and soak your hair with the mixture. the baking soda and vinegar mixture will produce a carbon dioxide gas that will release the chemical causing the egg smell from your hair. shampoo with a clarifying shampoo and put in any other hair care products as you normally do. ive only done this once so far, and from what i can tell, most of the smell is gone. im going to do it at least one more time before my appointment just to be COMPLETELY sure that the smell is out. i hope this helps some of you guys!!! i wish id known when i first used this product how long the smell would linger in my dry hair lol. with that being said, this product did exactly what i wanted it to! and i didnt notice any extra damage or dryness from the use of this product. i would recommend this product to people who are looking for something like it, but not without recommending how to make it work most effectively and how to get the egg smell out of the hair hahaha.

My hair WAS blonde and i dye it with BLUE semi-perminate dye! It is beginning to wash out but it is a horrible light green colour. Will this take out the green and bring back my blonde at all? Should i just continue washing it out or use this product???
